I bought this ukulele (built in 2010) from my ukulele teacher Sabine Walter (formerly Martin Walter) from Freiburg in 2016. The ukulele has been professionally played and treated up to the highest frets. There are some dings and dongs, but they do not affect the sound in any way.
Here is Sabine's website: https://ukewerk.online

The two linked models have a different head shape - the “Honu” = turtle. In the meantime, all Big Islands (a few exceptions have openwork heads) are produced with this head shape. In the past, the hallmark of these ukuleles was the stylized outline of Hawaii (“Big Island”) on the head and the ukulele shape inside. See the photos.
