I have for a long time enjoyed all of Lamberts arrangements of Classical

pieces for the ukulele, so I was excited to hear that he had written a book

of new and original pieces for those at the beginning of their ukulele

journey. The pieces in this book are well written and fun to play. I especially

like the fact that all of the pieces are aimed at beginners, yet to still sound

wonderful when played. From the flamenco influenced Spanish Dream,

through to more contemporary pieces such as Sunday afternoon, there is

enough in this book to challenge and excite any new players. Lambert has

done an excellent job in notating the book clearly, and has compiled an

excellent collection of pieces that I am certain players will enjoy coming

back to. It is great to see new compositions for the ukulele and Lamberts

collection really adds to the instrument's growing repertoire.
